About PAPA'S Cafe
As a very tight family, when we think of Papa’s Café, we do not think about the restaurant instead
we think of the man behind the restaurant, Papa.
Papa was born in Alicante, Spain. His mother was one of the first female chefs in Spain. As a young boy, Papa remembers the love, warmth, and laughter emanating from his mother’s kitchen. He learned to cook by staying close to his mother’s apron strings. He took his mother’s Spanish recipes and perfected them all, as any good chef would do. His specialty, the Paella, has won awards and has been sought after from clients throughout the country.
As a young man, he came to the U.S. to perfect and broaden his cooking techniques, he worked at Casa Espana and Maison de Castilla in New York. Years later, to move to a warmer climate, and refine his skills as a chef, he moved to South Florida and worked in Victor’s Café and Casa Juancho.
After many years of being a chef, he finally ventured out on his own and opened successful restaurants in the South Florida area.
Now, after many years , he has opened a small location in Delray Beach. Papa’s café is a small, classy location, but don’t let that fool you. The food is still full of flavor and quality. In an economy where every dollar counts, you won’t be sorry to spend your hard earned money at Papa’s Café. Where every meal is made fresh and the quality is backed by years of experience.
So when you are in the mood for good Spanish food, whether having a paella catered for a special event or chicken and rice for an afternoon meal, let Papa take care of it for you. Just like he has always done for all of us!!
